Rebuild a workflow a team runs every day as an agentic one, with the proof, governance and rollout plan stakeholders need to greenlight it. No engineering background required.
Self-paced · Free · No application

Define success, improve and iterate, build smarter workflows, know what you built, and launch with confidence.
Learn by building something measurable every day. Move fast and finish in about a month—or keep a lighter pace and take 60 days. Every module produces an artifact that measures quality, speed, and cost against a human baseline.
Module 01
Before you build, know how you'll win. Take the automation you built in AI 101—or a workflow you designed yourself—and turn gut feelings into hard numbers. Create an answer template that shows what excellence looks like, build scoring guides that measure performance objectively, and set up automated tests that catch problems before they break production. By the end, you'll have the proof system that separates real results from wishful thinking.
Create an answer template that defines what excellence looks like
Build scoring guides that measure performance objectively
Set minimum passing standards that gate what ships
Set up automated tests that catch problems before production
Module 02
Transform your single-agent automation into a specialized team where each agent does one thing brilliantly. Then use meta-prompting to let AI improve AI—while you validate what actually works. Learn to read how agents reason, not just what they output, so you fix root causes instead of patching symptoms. Build once, improve forever.
Decompose monolithic agents into specialized teams
Use meta-prompting to let AI improve AI
Read agent reasoning to fix root causes, not just symptoms
Module 03
One agent can't do everything—but a team can. Evaluate workflow blueprints and pick the pattern that matches your risk tolerance, speed needs, and data sensitivity. Then orchestrate communication between your agents, other systems, and humans to create a workflow machine that divides work intelligently, keeps costs down, and scales without breaking.
Pick the workflow pattern that fits your risk, speed, and data sensitivity
Orchestrate communication between agents, systems, and humans
Divide work intelligently to keep costs down at scale
Module 04
Most people can build a workflow. You'll master them. Create working Python-based agents from prompts, build an interface to measure real performance against realistic conditions, and analyze the generated code to understand exactly how your system operates. Debug individual agents before problems cascade, then debug agent teams to trace exactly how prompts decompose, how work gets delegated, and why agents surprise you. Go under the hood. Understand the machine. Own the system.
Generate working Python-based agents from prompts and analyze how they operate
Build an interface to measure performance against realistic conditions
Debug individual agents and agent teams to trace delegation and surprises
Module 05
Results without a rollout plan are just expensive demos. Package everything—your working prototype, performance data, cost projections, risk mitigation, governance checks—into a launch-ready plan stakeholders can actually act on. This is how pilots become production systems.
Package prototype, performance data, cost projections, risk mitigation, and governance into one plan
Ship a rollout plan stakeholders can act on
Turn pilots into production systems
Capstone project
This is where everything comes together. Run your AI workflow end-to-end, measure real gains in quality, speed, and cost against your starting baseline, and assemble the complete evidence package that takes your work from course product to decision-maker-ready business case. Then test your plan—identify failures, iterate to improve, and ensure you're confident the automation is worth scaling. Graduate with a portfolio—rollout plan, governance trail, value case—that proves you can walk into any organization, find where AI creates value, build the prototype, and make the case to decision makers.

Agentic Specialist is self-paced. Here is what each plan asks of a week.
30
days
Heads-down. Best if you can protect evenings and a weekend block.
Hours per week
60
days
The pace most learners pick. Fits either side of a full-time job.
Hours per week
Some learners use this where they already work. For anyone who wants the next job, the path is three steps.
Complete a specialized track and submit your capstone.
You enter LaunchCode's candidate pool.
We match you with employers rebuilding their workflows.
Placement depends on employer demand and on the work you produce. Cost will never be the reason you do not get there.
Hire Human is an initiative of LaunchCode, the nonprofit that has spent more than a decade placing people into technical roles at companies that do not hire on a hunch. The same network hires from these tracks, and we are placing graduates weekly.
LaunchCode is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, built to get people into technology careers without asking them to pay for the privilege. Employers pay us when they hire, and that is what funds the training. You never pay us to learn, and you never pay us to be matched with an employer.
Not now, not at the end.
Nothing to put down to hold a seat.
Nothing taken from your pay, ever.

When you finish your course
A capstone you keep, and a completion certificate.
No degree for any of them. AI 101 and Agentic Specialist assume no coding at all. Agentic Engineer expects real developer experience. You also need to be 18 or older.

Yes. Plenty of people take these to automate work at the job they already have. You decide whether you want placement, and nothing happens unless you ask for it.
Yes. The placement quiz tells you whether AI 101 would mostly be review for you. It is a recommendation, not a gate, so you can enroll in a specialized track either way. It takes about five minutes.
AI 101 is 51 to 57 hours, Agentic Specialist 64 to 70, and Agentic Engineer 72 to 84. You choose whether that lands across 30 days or 60, and Agentic Engineer adds a 90-day plan. Every course is self-paced, so you can stretch the calendar.
Yes, and there is no upsell at the end. LaunchCode is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, so we are not selling you a course. Employers pay us when they hire the people we train, and that pays for the courses.
If you want placement, finishing a specialized track puts you in LaunchCode's candidate pool, where we match you with employers at no cost. We place graduates weekly. The hiring decision is always the employer's.
We do not have that figure yet. We will publish one for these tracks once enough placements are behind it.
You get a completion certificate, but it is not an accredited degree. The capstone is what proves you can do the work.
